Navan Taekwon-Do School are delighted to announce that we have two more blackbelts in our ranks.Jan_2011_masters_pic.jpg

Niamh McKeever  and Aidan Smyth travelled to Cork on the weekend of the 16th of January where the INTA Winter Black Belt Grading was being hosted.

The grading was due to take place earlier in December but had to be postponed due to the adverse weather conditions.

There were 18 candidates taking the grading ranging from 1st Degree to 5th Degree under the INTA Examination panel of Master Brendan O'Toole (8th Degree) and Master Val Douglas and Master Gerry Martin (both 7th Degree). Both AIdan and Niamh battled the stress of the day and performed confidently and with few mistakes.

Alongside the NavanTKD students was Drogheda instructor Mr Tom Connor who, at 73 years of age, was testing for his 5th degree black belt. Mr Connor is an inspiration to all taekwon-do practitioners and martial arts alike and demonstrated the taekwon-do tenets of Indomitable spirit and perseverance.

Videos of the grading can be seen on our YouTube channel

Congratulations Niamh and Aidan
